Under 9 Great Win

Fantastic display of football.

The under 9 team played at home last Sunday, and gave Willows one of the toughest games they will have this season.

Even when they scored from a penalty kick, Willows  still had little chance of winning.

Managers and players agreed all their hard training was paying off, when they put eleven goals past the opposition. The visitors fought hard right to the end, and great soccer was played by both teams.

A big congratulations to all the team, and good luck for the rest of the season.

Under 12 NDSL League Win.

The last match of the season was the big one. If they win, they also win the League.

Away to Dunshaughlin, the game produced some great football. Nil all at half time, the opposition keeper kept his team in the game.

Numerous shots hitting the woodwork, and finally, halfway through the second half, they got their goal.
They held the lead with the final score 1-0 to Trinity.

Managers Myles Dillon and Mick Lee said they were delighted all the lads hard work during the season had paid off.

Congratulations to you all and best wishes for the forthcoming season.

 Cardiac Arrest machines.

Manager Larry Mc Cabe has fundraised an outstanding five figure sum (so far). The money is to provide for portable Cardiac Arrest machines.

These machines or AED's (Automatic External Defibrillator) are designed to allow non-medical personnel to save lives.

An AED is used to administer an electric shock to a person who is having a cardiac arrest.

AED's are set to be a standard piece of First Aid Kit for large sporting and community organisations, but cost in the region of 1,500 euro each.

The schoolboy teams made a return visit to Holland for the Easter weekend.

Close to Eindhoven, the event proved to be as exciting as our 2003 trip to Amsterdam.

Played 44 - lost 2

Leinster Senior League, Division 2A Sunday.

Currently leading their division, Manager John Reid reports continued success this year with a run of sixteen games with only one defeat.

Last season was very exciting, playing 26 games with only 1 defeat. This gave them runners up in the Sunday 3B Division.

They saw more success in the Bill Holmes Cup Final. The game went into penalties, and they took the Cup.
